Coexpression Browser for operons / regulons
This section aims to give an overview of the coexpression degree of genes that belong to an operon, a regulon or a strict regulon. "Strict regulon" refers to the set of all genes regulated by the same TF with the same regulatory effect (activator, repressor or dual). For each group (operon, regulon or strict regulon), the following features are displayed : the group name, the genes in the group, the coexpression matrix, coexpression distribution and the top best coexpressed set of genes. The coexpression matrix and the coexpression distribution display coexpression of the genes within the group while the top best coexpressed set of genes shows coexpression with genes not in the group. The coexpression matrix shows the SCR values of the genes in the group with each other. The coexpression distribution is a plot showing two distributions : the probability density function (1) of the SCR values of the coexpression matrix and (2) of the SCR values of all other pairs of genes in the genome as a background. The top best coexpressed set of genes considers all other genes in the genome and shows which of these genes are most highly coexpressed with the genes of the group and is calculated by taking the top lowest medians of the SCR values of any gene not in the group with the genes of the group. For more details of the coexpression method see the user guide.
